I went ahead and added BMI index to the stats list to the right and organized it better so that weight is all in one area together. I've also gone through and updated the Goals and Frankbox Achievement pages. When I hit a goal or complete a challenge then I will link the post to the item on the list so that it's easy to recall the different victories along the way. I am very pleased at how things are coming together on this site! I never imagined that I'd be able to create something like this before, but I'm glad I did. Already I'm reaping the rewards of hard work a little over a month in! I also want to say that my confidence is going through the roof and I believe that there is only a 5% chance that I will not hit my overall goal weight of 250 pounds! I'm glad that I can share my story with all of you! Good night everyone and I look forward to writing more soon! :-D
Nothing too major here, I just found a cool site to use to measure BMI and other little stats. It's through About.com. Here's the link. If you don't know where to measure yourself, you can check the chart towards the top (if you're a girl then it's towards the bottom) and you'll see the names of the areas used to measure. Since I have all my measurements I decided to go ahead and calculate my Body Mass Index using the Jackson/Pollack 3 calculation. My BMI is at 37.28%. The site breaks things down into what percent body fat equals each build. An average man's BMI is no higher than 25% body fat. A fit man is no more than 17% and an athlete is between 6-13%. Being obese isn't a surprise. I used to be in the 40's so this is a small victory in itself. I've got a little ways to go before hitting that 14-17% range, but I'm on the right track! Another cool thing about the site is it breaks down your lean muscle weight vs body fat weight. If I had no fat on my body at all then I'd weigh 226.41 pounds. The remaining 134.59 pounds is body fat. This intrigues me because my goal of 250 pounds is pretty close to the amount of lean muscle I already have. Since I used very few measurements I'm not going to put my full faith in this being 100% accurate, but at least now I have an idea as to where I'm at!
