I decided to hit the weights while waiting. I did 3 sets of bicep, tricep, and lat exercises when I saw the guy getting off the elliptical. "Sweet!" I think to myself as I prep my iPod to play the running mix and pull up the directions. I step onto the elliptical and instantly notice something off about it. I look it down and realize that this is not an elliptical, but instead it's one of those start climbing-ish machines that make no sense to me at all. I try anyhow. And my hips and thighs are rubbing on the inside sides of the machine. I push for about five minutes and then dejectedly hit the showers. I took a long shower too... After drying off and dressing I leave pondering my options from here. I can come back tomorrow after some research and bust out a good weight lifting program. The prospects of doing so without a cardio warmup really bums me out though. As I walked to the car I stopped at an intersection and upon looking up I was greeted with this:
On a final note, I weighed myself today and I have gained a pound(ish) since last week's weigh in. I say ish because I don't factor any decimals when I weigh myself but I noticed last week that I was above .5. This week I am at 356 on the dot. So it's not a full pound gained. I still don't quite understand how this works with me gaining weight one week then losing it- plus more- the next. I suppose that's just the name of the game. As I stated previously, as long as the overall number goes down then I'm happy! This is all for now. Tomorrow I will post about how my solo adventure up the mountain goes accompanied with as many pictures as I dare to take!
Till the next episode!
