Anyhow, we ended up hanging out at the place until the early morning. Around 1:00 we left to go back to our place. Along the way, we happened to come upon a car in need. I had Chris roll down his window (cause my car is awesome and stuff and it chose not to come with power windows) and I asked if the two guys needed any help. They were both winded and gulping down water. Between breaths they accepted our assistance. Apparently the car stalled out while they were driving and they had to push it for quite a while before we came along. So Chris and I pulled into a parking lot and the four of us pushed this Bronco-like SUV up this hill. The grade got tougher as we went and another gentleman on a bicycle stopped to add to our manpower. When we got to the top of the mini hill the owner said that he lived at the bottom of the hill and to the left at the intersection and that they were fine. So we all wished them luck and took our leave. My lungs were burning as I struggled for breath. Chris and I discussed how it might have been smarter to have put on shoes instead of wearing sandals. By the time I got to the car I had caught my breath but my lungs were hurting and my shoulders were sore.
It felt good to help someone like that because I was in the same position just five days before. It didn't feel good this morning when my shoulders and upper back were stiff and sore. So I took a day off and I'll resume tomorrow! I'm excited to do all this because I'm getting things organized. I find that I stick to things better when they're planned out a little more. I went through the gym yesterday and wrote the name of all of the machines and what muscle group they work out. Afterwards I did a shoulders and back work out. Tomorrow I'll be doing chest and arms followed by core and legs on Saturday. I may break them up further or swap them around. For now that's the configuration that I'll stick to. I have a workout journal that I'm keeping track of my reps, sets, and weights so that I can figure out when to increase the workloads. I can't wait to start seeing the results!
This is all for now. I think of things to write about then forget them because I can only write at work breaks... Hopefully soon my run of anti-technology follies will end! With that said, I'm out!
Until the next episode!
