If you look in my Goals section of this site you'll see one of my objectives is to hike all the way down and up the Grand Canyon. I definitely want to do this, but I am not ready yet. I've been doing some reading on the Canyon and the hiking opportunities available, and they have trails that will lead you all the way to the bottom and back. The problem is that it's 28 miles round trip. It's also over six thousand feet deep, meaning it's over a mile decline and incline. The site strongly advises people if they are going to hike down and back up that they do it over two days. You can easily over exert yourself in the heat and end up injuring yourself that way. They also strongly advise people not to do it if it's their first time. I want to complete this, and I know that I can make the distance, but I'd rather not put the strain on myself on such short notice. So we'll explore the many other trails and have fun this weekend camping!
Nutrition
Lastly I want to leave you with this. I'm down to 351! WOO HOO! The reason I'm bringing this up is because I need to lose two more pounds to be under the 350 mark. Why is that so important? Once I'm below 350 pounds, I will be able to weigh myself on any scale that's out there for adults! I honestly can't remember the last time I've been able to do that! So next Wednesday will mark the 3 month anniversary of me being able to weigh myself and it will HOPEFULLY be the day that I will be able to be free and weigh myself on a digital scale or an old school scale ANYWHERE! I'll leave you a today with a picture. This isn't my first time seeing the Grand Canyon. I stopped on the way out to LA last year. In March of last year I was 75 pounds heavier than I am today. I can't remember the exact spot that this picture was taken but I would like to do another one to compare me from then to now. With all this being said I will update my stats area (22 pounds down and counting baby!) And I'll catch you on the next episode! :-D
